I’m a people-watcher.
And I don’t mean just the kind that sits at the airport and enjoys watching fellow travelers.
I am that person who can get distracted from my life because I’m watching and observing what’s going on in someone else’s life.

I tend to do this especially when I’m in a large group. I listen and watch. And it’s fabulous. It’s amazing the things that you’ll hear and learn from people if you just take a moment to observe others.

So that’s what I love to do. I love watching people. I love seeing where they’re at just by watching them.

The temptation to just stay on the outside exists. Because I love to watch, it would be so easy for me to just stay on the outside and never go any deeper.

But that’s not where The Lord has me. He doesn’t let me stay on the outside. But, instead, He encourages me to go ever deeper into His heart and into others.

I have this desire to know people. Like, really know them. I don’t do surface level stuff very well. And so as I’m building friendships, I do it with the intention of really getting to know the people around me.

So, yes, I am a people watcher. And I love doing it.
But He’s made me to be a friendship builder as well.
And I love that just as much.
