My favorite/hardest day was Thursday. My whole team was trying to be intentional in praying for the community around us. And so, we spent a lot of time talking to our Father. We also wanted to be a blessing to our hosts, and we thought that a great way to do that would be to pray for them. So we were each “assigned” a person from our host team so that we could intentionally seek them out and pray over them one-on-one.

When we first came up with that plan, I was a little freaked out. I mean, I’ve prayed for people. But I don’t think I’ve ever just walked up to someone and said that I wanted to pray for them. (Hello, growing/stretching experience!)

Thursday came around, and The Lord was nudging my heart to talk to my host about praying for her. And so, while she was doing something in the kitchen, I asked if she could spare some time later in the day where we could sit down and I could pray for her. The words came out effortlessly.

We got together after Brady and I returned from teaching English and the bible in Kurokasay village. And it was such a blessing to my heart! The Lord encouraged me and pushed me through praying for her. And as an added blessing, she prayed over me as well!

I’m so thankful that as a team we made that plan, even if it was uncomfortable for me at first. Because if we hadn’t, I would have missed out on an awesome opportunity The Lord had waiting for me.

Thursday was also the day Marin went to the clinic. She hadn’t been feeling well for a few days, so they wanted to get her checked out. She got back that evening, and she’s okay! She has a cold, and some heat rash. But praise God that it wasn’t anything else! Please continue to pray for Marin to return to full strength and energy. And pray for the health of the rest of my team as well–that w would continue to stay healthy.

Thursday was just a good day. The Lord was near. He heard our prayers for the community. And I’m excited to see what He has for us next week.
