So on Sunday, we had a small gathering at my house with family and friends to send me off well.

We decorated with different “major” holiday things, so that we could “celebrate” all of the holidays that I’ll be missing over the next 11 months.

It really was a sweet, intimate gathering.

And I’m so thankful.

I was able to have a lot of one-on-one conversations with different people. And I was able to say my goodbyes to a lot of people.

It’s getting harder and harder to believe that the Race–what I’ve been working towards for the last 10 months–is actually about to go down.

But it’s so exciting all at the same time.

The fight to remain “all here” continues. But the Lord has been faithful in helping me stay present and make the most of every opportunity that He’s giving me.
