When I was born, my parent's named me, Rebekah Joy Hull. (They were all about the bible and Jesus and all that good stuff.)

So as a child, everyone called me Rebekah.

As a teenager, [almost] everyone called me Beka.

Then, I went on The World Race, and now most call me Beka Joy.

Post World Race Life: Indian Clothes in America & My first day at work in January 2013

I guess its only fitting since God gives people new names as he calls them to be new people, so maybe it's appropriate. And I kind of like it. I think it makes me sound like a southern belle, at least that's what people tell me.

So ya, I did that whole World Race thing (2nd Gen E SQUAD!). It was AMAZING, CRAZY, AND THE BEST THING I'VE EVER DONE, well except for accepting Jesus as my Savior.

Now, God has brought me right back to where I started, Dallas, TX, to build a new life even though I live in the same place. Oh and is it ever interesting.

I work in the crazy world of non-profit development and it's WAY harder than the mission field ever was, but I'm learning to love it and appreciate where God has me right now.

I'm passionate about seeing people find their calling, live out their dreams, and become more of who God created them to be AND I'm also super passionate about seeing churches, ministries, and non-profits do the same.

I guess you could say I'm all about developing, making what's already there better and more like God intended.

My favorite place in the whole world is right where God has me and I have this thing for Guatemala, too.
I love penguins and monkeys are evil.
I think all dreams can come true and I'm a fan of doing things deemed impossible.
I'm also a broken, hot mess of a person, but God is continually redeeming me and making me more into His image and the daughter of God I truly am.

God, He's a keeper, promise.

Oh and this one time, I caught a chicken.
(This is the first time I ever caught a chicken, it was in Nepal in month 10, I was really excited,
so I HAD to post the picture somewhere.)
