October 14, 2011: There I go, off to World Race Training Camp!
Boy, I had no idea what was coming 🙂
And to give you an idea, the next week of my life looked something like this:

Sleeping in a tent
(still a pretty new experience for me)

Eating interesting food.
(Yes, that's whole, raw fish)

Being extremely cold
(That's some of my squadmates being resourceful during a session)

Worshipping our Father
(In song and everyday)

Building friendships
(some of the girls of E SQUAD)

Canoeing, Camping, & Cooking
(as well as other team building fun)

Sleeping in other places
(This night it happened to be under a tarp, ALL together)

Falling in love with our E Squad mascot, Eleanor!
(Yes, she is a pink flamingo lawn ornament)

Letting the Holy Spirit MOVE
(That's Spirit's a crazy one)

And preparing to change the world.
In this one week with ALL of the January World Racers
in the middle of nowhere Georgia,
we were brought
closer to our Father,
closer to each other,
and
closer to being the person God intends for us to be.
And by the end, we were closer than we thought.
