I am excited to announce that I have been called to a one-year commitment with Adventures in Missions (AIM). I became involved with AIM the Summer of 2012 (Adventures Youth, World Race, Squad Leader, and Thailand Vision Trip) and I believe the Lord is using this organization to reach the nations and I am blessed to say I am a part of that. I will be the Base Leader of Center for Global Action (CGA) Thailand. I spent the summer at this location and I am excited to return in January with the CGA team.
THE NEED. Thailand is filled with hurting and broken people. Only 1% of the nation is Christian and people need to hear the saving message of Jesus Christ. Sex-trafficking is a huge industry in Thailand. Boys and girls, men and women are taken to be sold to anyone willing to buy them for a night of pleasure. It is a sad reality, but I have hope in something greater–in Someone greater!
THE VISION. The vision is to rescue these people out of slavery and to help them receive freedom, both physically and spiritually. The Center for Global Action (CGA) is a program for people who have gone on a trip with AIM, but desire to continue to grow and learn about a specific need and ministry. Through CGA, we will train and equip people to go out and build relationships with the women, men and children, to learn how to rescue them from the industry and to help them walk through healing by the power of Jesus Christ. I will be spending 4 months in Gainesville, GA at the home office getting trained for this task and also training the team that I will be bringing with me.
THE RESPONSE. I need your help. Asking for help has never been easy for me. It’s humbling to know that I cannot do this by myself, but I am learning the beauty of the Church working together as the Body to reach the world for Christ. So I ask you to partner with me. I need prayer. My team needs prayer. We need people committed to asking the Lord for His help on our behalf. I also need money. This ministry cannot survive without people willing to give. This vision cannot be fulfilled without funds. I need to raise $1,500 a month. Will you please consider giving to me monthly. I believe that this vision is from the Lord and I know that the cause is worth the sacrifice.
