I have never heard the name Daddy called out so many times!

Here in Uganda, me and my team are living with two of the most wonderful people I have met! Pastor Joseph and Frieda are true servants of the Lord. They do not have children of their own but the Lord has blessed them with around 300 kids!

They opened a Christian school! This school is amazing. On Thursday, I sat and watched as the Middle School kids set up, organized the younger students and did chapel with only one adult in sight. Students came up and gave testimonies and sang songs all on their own! It was incredible. And come to find out, almost half the students come from Muslim backgrounds and here they are being taught about Jesus every day!

Some of these students are also orphans, and Pastor and Frieda have taken in so many of them and loved them.

At church, I watched Pastor Joseph look through papers clearly looking busy. Then a child walked confidently over to him, and without any hesitation, jumped into Pastor’s arms. He knew he belonged. He was confident in his Daddy’s love for him!

Something Pastor told us at the beginning of the month was that every child had special needs! Each one of them is important and they know this. Every single child calls this man Daddy and each one of them are loved unconditionally.

How beautiful is this! What an incredible image these children have of their Heavenly Father. How has the love of this one man changed the lives of so many! I believe this man is making more of an impact than he will ever know!

Pastor Joseph is also a pastor of a very solid church. He makes it clear to his congregation that no one is just simply a member. Everyone is a very important part of the body and they have something that they can contribute to extend the Kingdom.

I love how they come together to pray and minister to each other. They also send teams out weekly to house services where church members invite their neighbors to come have church at their house. But again, they aren’t just sent out unprepared. All the leaders meet the day before and have a Bible study where they discuss what the Lord wants them to teach the next day! What a cool system!

I am learning so much here about what it means to love and to live as Christ did! To literally be His hands and feet! “How beautiful are the feet of those who share the good news!”
