January 25
Two days ago, I was working up in the mountain digging just like we do almost everyday. We paused for a little bit where we talked about praying for protection.
We discussed how Jesus prays for deliverance from enemies but not specifically protection from all things. Are we placing guidelines on how we allow God to use us? Are we saying, God use me as long as its not hard or tough or painful?
This is challenging to pray for, but I want to be willing for whatever the Lord has for me. Less than 10 minutes after this conversation, I shoved my tool in the ground and twisted like I had been doing all day, but this time I heard a lovely pop and pain went shooting up my arm. Not good!
I lost some feeling in my elbow and shoulder and my hand got pretty swollen! Don’t worry, I am getting better, but I know that God needed to teach me some things.
I am learning that He is in ultimate control and that my idea of ministry may be different than His plan. I need to be open to what He has for me and I need to be seeking after His voice every single day for what He may have in store for me!
