“YOU
KNOW THAT IN A RACE ALL THE RUNNERS RUN, BUT ONLY ONE GETS THE PRIZE.
RUN TO WIN!!”

1 corinthians 9:24

Our
lives are just like a soccer season. Game days are ministry days, our
down time is filled with extra training, early morning practices,
drills, running the extra mile, team bonding, pep-talks, learning new
plays and other preparations. “…Everyone who competes in the game
goes into strict training.
They do it to get a crown that will not
last, but we do it to get a crown that will last FOREVER!”
(v.25)
We
have 5 games a week and 2 off days. We spend our off days with God,
our Coach, reflecting and what not.

I am reminded of
my competitive nature which is WIN! WIN! WIN! Losing is not my
friend, nor an option! “..Therefore, I do not run like a man
running aimlessly; I fight like a boxer who is hitting something-not
just the air.”
(v.26) To leave the field with my head held high
after a tough loss is challenging unless I find joy and satisifcation
knowing that I did all I could for victory…leaving my full heart on
the field.

I play soccer
games striving for perfection, pushing hard, and desiring to win
being my competitive self! After reading this verse, I was encouraged
and reminded of this characterstic….

Each day is a
game, we must win! Each day we go on the field I do everything I can
possibly do for a W. Clearly there is no scoreboard, but I thrive to
leave my full heart on the field everyday, coming back regrouping and
preparing for the next game.

Regardless of
where our games are (what your ministry field is) God desires a WIN
everyday!!! He desires that we do everything possible to train and
prepare ourselves to defeat the other team so that daily, we are
joyful with the knowledge that we put our FULL HEART into it, always
striving for perfection and satisfication to make our Coach happy!

Are
you satisfied with a tie ball game or a losing score? Are you running
to WIN or are you running just to run? Put your heart into it! Strive
for more, Push yourselves! Coach won’t make you do the extra sprints
at the end of practice if he knows you can’t do it! Guaranteed, our
hard work will not be overlooked! Therefore, with everything we got: HEART, MIND, BODY, SOUL In Jesus’ name….everyday let’s STRIVE to
WIN!

RULE #76: Play like a champion…Always! 😉
