So, the journey has begun! I think it could have been the field of trash that we are living next to or the crazy auto driving that has made it a reality but we are officially in India!

I was told that just how a jet plane takes off to get from one place to another, God was going to take me somewhere fast. That it will hurt but the fruits from it will be worth it. Well, looks like this person was spot on.

We flew into India and right when we landed, something wasn't right. My body wasn't comfortable. First time using a squatty potty is nothing glamorous either. I mean, I knew this was something I'd have to deal with, but the reality of it is so different then being told about it. So, here I am, being torn physically JUST at the airport. Oh geesh, this is going to be a long month…

So, after 58 hours of traveling we finally arrive into the city we will be staying at. We are working with Sarah's Covenant Homes (http://sarahscovenanthomes.blogspot.in/) this month. We were able to tour the different homes that are set up and met all the beautiful children. Every child has been declared an orphan. They all have disabilities. God's love is all over them. We walked through the gate of the main home and I had a child in my arms in the first 2 minutes. My whole team was being hugged wherever we went and not those petty one armed hugs but big bear hugs from these kids. Some girl's were jumping up and down. Our hands were being kissed. These kids loved us and they only just met us. These kid's showed us God's Kingdom in just a few seconds.

Sarah's Homes also has a school girl's home where every girl located there is thriving in school! Above where my team and I are staying is a floor where the sweet babies stay. I have been able to visit them the past couple days and they are just so precious.

God is taking me somewhere fast. He is taking all my selfishness and pride out of me. He is taking those thoughts that I have that think I need something better out and showing me why I am here. I am here to love on this children this month. To not care about the diseases or lice I could catch but to snuggle up to every child and love on them. God will take care of the rest. Everyday we will be working from 8 to 6 with these precious babies. 105 precious babies to be exact. It will be hard, it will be physically taxing (there has not been a second that I have NOT been sweating), but it will be so worth it.
