This month my team, J159, has been blessed with the opportunity to serve with team Fierce Pursuit. To be honest when they were doing the team placements I was secretly hoping that my team would be able to serve alone this month but God had other plans, Great Plans. Our teams quickly came together and I honestly can’t imagine not serving with team Fierce Pursuit. This month we were blessed with a full kitchen and freezer so we get to cook some of our desired American meals. My favorite time of day is when we gather together for dinner. We cram 14 people to an eight person table, we rub elbows, and make lots of noise but I wouldn’t have it any other way. There is something so beautiful about coming together as a family and just fellowship. It’s crazy that this is exactly what God intends community to be like. Living in community is extremely hard but it is in the moments when we can sit together around the table and just be that makes it worth it all. There are nights when I catch myself going to bed with a big cheesy smile thinking that God not only blessed me with six amazing brothers and sisters but gave me six extra ones this month.
