On Saturday, September 8th, 2012 we left Chicago and flew to NYC. We landed at JFK around midnight and a group of us decided to go explore the city since we were not flying out until Sunday at 3pm. We explored the city and a group of us decided to go back to the airport and sleep for a couple of hours. At around 3 pm we boarded our flight to Atlanta and once we arrived to Atlanta we quickly boarded our flight to Johannesburg, South Africa. We left Atlanta around 7:35 on Sunday the 9th and arrived in South Africa on Monday the 10th at 5:45 pm. In total we traveled for about  38 hours.

The first couple of days we have stayed at this beautiful missionary compound here in S.A. Our entire squad had a wonderful day of rest Sept. 11 (yesterday) where we had a chance to spend time with the Lord and with each other. Today four teams left for Zimbabwe, Botswana, and Zambia and the rest of us will stay here in Johannesburg. We have been blessed with western toilets, showers, and beds these first couple of days. Tomorrow my team along with three other ones will be leaving the compound and will be going somewhere else (I don’t know where yet). I cannot wait to start ministry and seeing what God has in store of us. The beauty of the place is insane and I cannot wait to see the rest of S.A.  BAM!!!
