The devil came down to Georgia, but he couldn’t get us there.
There were many of us and against his luck he wasn’t getting’ anywhere.

But we went home, on our own and he did a little dance.
He hit us hard, lookin’ to scar but he still didn’t stand a chance.

For what that devil didn’t know was that we were all made brand new.
We had stronger ties to resist his lies and anything he tried to do.

So this time devil the dares to you, go ahead and take a stab.
I may look alone but my families’ shown I’m never gonna be again.

I am so lucky to have gained a whole second family at training camp. Since I have been home I have been tempted, discouraged, lied to, guilt-stricken and more; all from the devil. But through each and every bad day, I have had someone there standing beside me to help push through and by the end of it, it is a good day. These people are no longer just my team members; they are my brothers and sisters.

I want to enter Thanksgiving week by saying how thankful I am to have them.  I also want to encourage you to give thanks for your “fictive kin”. They are incredible. <3

Please leave a comment about someone in your life that has become family to you, even though they aren’t. Give thanks for them right here, right now!
