Have you ever prayed a prayer with a little bit of…but can you actually do this?!
That’s been one of my prayer this month. Here in Thailand a lot of people are Buddhist. With that religion there are a lot of idols that are built around the city. Every corner you turn you will probably see one. And each neighborhood has one upon entering which kind of proves what the people believe in that neighborhood due to the “idols/spirits” that are built there.
This month I have witnessed people praying in front of these statues, people offering food and drink to these statues, women dancing for the statues, and I’ve seen people buy flowers and light candles, I’m sure you name it I’ve seen it.
Every time we walk past one no matter how big or small, I say “God could I see just one of those like fall over…kind of like they did in the Old Testament?!” But it’s one of those (ehhh kinda i guess prayers). Like maybe could that happen?!
Like I know truth that God is over all of their fake gods, it was more of an ehhh could they fall over kind of thing?!
Silly I know but true!
Earlier this week my team and I went on an adventure to a beach about 2 hours away Payatta. It was SUCH a beautiful beach. It had white sand and clear water!! Man it was beautiful and totally something that was on my bucket list in life!! (WHOOP WHOOP!!!) It was so much fun (Don’t worry, I wore sunscreen 😉 )

Other then the beach Payatta is known for one of the largest prostitution areas in Thailand, it’s called “Walking Street” This consists of so many bars (of every type), Women standing outside trying to get people to come inside, there were open area bars, some had live music, there was even an open bar with a boxing ring inside with an actual fight happening. You could stand on the street and see all these things.

We first walked down the street around 730pm, there wasn’t much happening a few street vendors but the bars weren’t up and poppin yet. So we went to dinner and decided to walk back through around 10pm to get the real feel of the nightlife there. And WOW!!! That place was THICK!!! The warfare was NO JOKE! As we walked down this street each just began praying and interceding and fighting what was happening around us.
I seriously felt like I could have fought that night, full out fight. I knew it wasn’t of the physical, I kept saying “Who told you could come here?! No one gave you permission” I also remember praying for worth over the women that were standing outside, and I don’t remember a whole lot of other things cause my Spirit was just at straight war!!
We got back to our hostel, debriefed as a team, spent some time in prayer. We called it a night the next morning got up and headed back to Bangkok to prepare for our week of ministry.
Little did we know God was still working in AMAZING ways down that street!!!
The next day (Wednesday the 15th) our host sends us this picture.

Can you see what this is?! These are photos of a go-go bar on walking street burning down!!!! (Along with 2 other shops-three in total).
*disclaimer* no one was injured due to the time of the fire, and there was one lady who witness it was a transformer that caused the fire. (so it wasn’t human hands that created this fire either)
WOW WOW WOW!!!!! I don’t know if these gets anyone has excited as it has made us…..but while we walked, prayed, fought and invited Jesus to be a part of that street, the Lord moved!!!
Although this is not a “statue” the Lord truly made an idol fall right before our eyes!!!
God honors bold prayers because bold prayers honor God.-The Circle Maker
