Hey!!

Thank you so much for choosing to follow me and learn more about my Journey! I am super excited to share these next few months of adventure with you!!!

I am 26 years old (27 in May!) I know it’s a young age but still feels super weird to think about it! Every time someone asks me how old I am I always say 25 because I can really never remember!! Hahaha. I currently work in a couple different places. I am a preschool special education teacher assistant! That job has totally been a dream job of mine since I was a young girl, so I’ve been super blessed to be able to work in that field for the last couple of years! I also work with a local publishing company, Empress World Publishing, where I get to help writers see dreams come true through the publishing process! And I also volunteer with a non-profit Moving Forward…Reaching Back, whose mission is to inspire and encourage all youth to dream beyond their circumstances through literacy, motivational production and community outreach. So you can say my days are pretty full but I love it! I love having the opportunity to make a difference is people’s lives.

I was born in Jacksonville, Fl. But I was raised in Virginia Beach, Va. I was born into a military family and I am one of the lucky few who didn’t have to move every couple of years. So I’ve been in Virginia Beach my whole life. The beach has become my “get away” when I need to get refocused on life. I’m not into surfing or any of the beach things, I just enjoy the vastness, the sound, the smell of salt water, the calming aspect of it all, and it’s especially my favorite at night!! Sometimes when I stop and think about living at the beach, I think about all the people who have never had the experience to enjoy the beach and all its amazingness! Not only loving the beach as I grew up, I also grew up with two older brothers and a super hero Mom! So I’ve learned to hold on own against the boys! We had an interesting childhood, like most siblings we fought all the time, but we had a few moments where we were one big happy family! Hahaha. One of my brothers was totally into sports while the other was into technology. I was closest to age with Nick, who played football, which sparked a love sports in me! He used to make me learn how to throw a football or run routes before he would take me to the park! When I was in high school, I used to love to play catch, which where I got the nickname Ice-Box, which is still a name I go by now! Currently my brothers are both pursing their dreams, one as a police officer and one as an elementary PE teacher and assist football coach at a university.
