Ok, so maybe we didn't go completely around the world, but we definitely went really far across it. Before coming on World Race I had read blogs about the infamous travel days. Hours upon hours in hot sweaty buses holding chickens and babies in your lap… normal things like that. Never did I expect the fun madness of traveling from Nicaragua to Thailand. Please join me on a recap of our journey across the world!

Starting point: Surfing Turtle Lodge in Poneloya, Nicaragua. Home to our NYE beach camping extravaganza.

And so it begins… 4am hike across the island –> boat ride across an unidentified body of water –> bus ride to the Managua airport –> flight to Atlanta –> 7 hour layover –> flight to LA –> 12 hour layover –> flight to Seoul, South Korea –> 12 hour layover –> flight to Bangkok, Thailand –> 2 day stay at WYAM ministry base –> 5 hour bus ride to Phetchebun, Thailand –> short ride to our ministry site and 4 ish days later…
WE MADE IT!!!!!

We touched down in 4 different time zones, used 4 different types of currency (Cordobas, USD, Wan and Bhat) and spoke 4 different languages.

We asked how much food it was possilbe to consume between 2 stateside layovers. Answer: a lot. Chick-fil-a, Whole Foods, Pinkberry, C&O, Trader Joes …. i'm full just remembering it all.

We slept on airport floors, buses, planes and pretty much anywhere we could get away with closing our eyes for more than 5 seconds.

We embraced culture and tried to blend in… ish.

And finally, the craziest of all, we switched teams!!! I know, right?! Please meet the beautiful ladies I now call family : Team Wellspring! Ash, me, Sydney, Nikki, Shanna and Tressa.

I am so SO excited to begin ministry with my fab new all girls team! The Lord has brought together a fierce group of women that I know I will learn oh so much from in the coming months. I would love your prayers for continued team unity and love as we get to know each other better and continue in our ministry here in Phetchebun.
