Honduras Highlights!
Honduras has been such an amazing month! I seriously can't believe it's already over. Crazy! Here's a peak at some of my fav memories:
Best food
Refried black beans with pretty much anything… beans on bread, beans in tortillas, beans and rice on a plate. I’ll take them anyway they come. SO good!

Culture shock
Honduran time has a pretty exact equation to it:
(Time you are told) + (1 hour)+ or –( 15 min) = time you will actually leave or meet up.
It’s a science. All the 'fashionably late' people in LA should have prepared me for this. But no, still no bueno and you can’t even blame it on the 405.
Moment I will remember forever
Arguring with an 11 year old girl about which one of us is really Justin Beiber’s girlfriend. I know, I know. Spare me the horrified looks. Some of you may see this as a low point in my life, but let’s be real – it was one of the greatest times of my month. The TS girls and I had girls night with 3 of the cuties that were staying at our ministry site. We braided hair, painted nails and – of course – sang Beiber songs. So much fun!!!

What God is teaching me
God is teaching me about his POWER, and it’s been a crazy ride. This month I saw Zachariah, a blind man, open his eyes and see for the first time in 10 years. I saw Carlos, a stroke victim, lift his walker up in the air and walk without it for the first time since his stroke. I saw God transform the hearts of street kids from Los Pinos as we spent time loving them. I saw a family reunited after we sat outside a hospital praying for their mother. At times these things left me speechless. I mean, I’ve been praying for God to show up and do something crazy but I guess deep down I didn’t really believe he would. BUT THEN HE DID. He showed up and it changed everything. I’ve been learning that God has absolute power and he still uses it to transform lives and do miracles today. Crazy, huh?!
People I will never forget
I have been so blessed to meet strong, passionate women of God that care about seeing change happen in this country. Meet some of my newest friends – 1. Kathy, my Honduran bestie. She doesn’t know that yet but I’m claiming it. She loves the Lord, plays the bass guitar and has the best fashion of anyone I have met thus far. Like seriously, the girl can dress! 2. Vivian! This sweet girl is our translator and does evvvverything with us. Not only did she work full time with us but she also goes to school every night. Her passion for the Lord is beautiful and her love for people is incredible.

Funniest moment
On Thanksgiving Stacey and I were hanging out at the house with some of the boys. Carlos started trying to tell jokes in Spanish. I think we understood 3% of what he was saying, but he kept trying again and again, as if we would all of a sudden get it. 30 minutes later we were still clueless but it was one of the funniest moments of the month.
