The days seem to fly by as launch date approaches. Each day has been filled to the brim with a mixture of excitement, new donors, and a little bit of nerves.
I can’t even put into words the blessings that God has provided me with this summer. To everybody who has supported me through prayer and donations I just want to say thank you. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Just last week I returned from a 10 day training camp with my team in Georgia, and it was HOT! But the training and experiences we all shared together for the first time where like none other. We did daily team building activities, worship sessions 3 times a day, and most importantly came together as a community that felt more like a family. On the third to last day they announced what our 6 person team would look like that we would be serving with in each country. At the end of it I couldn’t have picked a better group to be with. My team of all guys are men of God who work as one body, challenge each other spiritually, and overall just have a good time. Whether its teaching english or doing door to door ministry there is nobody I would rather have by my side than these guys.
Not only did God do some pretty amazing things for all of us at training camp, but for me personally as well. Questions that I had wrestled with for years seemed to become enlightened to me. Things that I have had a constant struggle with God about came to peace. I have never felt the Holy Spirit move more visibly in one week than I did at training camp. And not only for me but for all 50 of us. We came together as a family in laughter and tears that week.
The next 6 weeks couldn’t go by quick enough as the joy and excitement fill my heart for the year to come. To watch God work in me, my team, and the lives of those we interact with is going to be incredible. Thank you all for believing in me and being with me through all of this. Im so blessed to be where I am in life and love you all.
Shalom,
Bailey Huffman
