1.  Living out of a backpack.  One of my goals going into the race is to pack as lightly as I possibly can.  I’m not quite sure why I want to do this, but it’s going to happen and I’m excited to see what life is like with three pairs of underwear for nine months.  (That may have been an exaggeration.  It also may not have been.)

2.  Making new best friends.  The hardest part of leaving will be leaving all the best friends I have here in Tulsa.  I have such great friends here who love the Lord and constantly refresh me.  At first, when I thought about leaving them, I got horribly sad (and still do get sad because I love them) but then I realized that I am leaving one community and jumping into another.  And since we are all made in the image of God, these new people should be pretty awesome as well!

3.  Being challenged like never before.  I am excited to be challenged, to have a dependency on the Lord that stems from exhaustion and complete lack of strength on my own.
