Good things come from bad. It pretty much a common theme in The Bible. There is so much to be thankful for that God has done for us, that sometimes we can look right past it. Be thankful for the fleas. Yes, even the fleas.
I heard a story not to long ago that put that into prospective. (you can read it HERE) Even when things look the bleakest we have to remember that you have to hit rock bottom to have a place to go up from. Rock bottom is a REALLY humbling place to be. It helps you see the strength that God has given you and that you have developed. We cant afford to be cautious with our love and our mission. Could you imagine if Jesus had been one foot in one foot out we would have been SCREWED! Jesus loved like he had EVERYTHING to lose, and that’s because he did. Sometimes we have to do the UN-settling or the “uncomfortable”(< The second most over used word by Christians… #1 Authentic) So lets all be thankful for cars blowing up, jobs not being permanent, and feeling so out of control.
In the time being…This song tends to put it into prospective for me EVERY time.
If lemonade keeps turning into lemons
And you wear your heart on a ripped
Unraveled sleeve
Been run through the wringer
And pushed on to your limit
Say you’re just unlucky
But luck ain’t what you need
‘Cause if you’re ever gonna find
A four leaf clover
You gotta get a little dirt on your hands
You gotta get a little dirt on your hands
And if you wanna find a head
That fits your shoulder
You’re gonna have to go to the dance
You’re gonna have to go to the dance
