Okay, so it is not a dream… I am back in the USA! Honestly these last two weeks of being at home have been great! I didn’t even jet lag! So with that being said the “transition” has been great and I have just been super busy catching up with family and friends. I stayed in New York for the night and then took a bus to Boston to see my best friend Michael and his wife Aimee… this was such a great thing! They were the last people I saw in the US (because I was at their wedding!) and the first people I saw when coming back! I flew home to DFW just in time for Thanksgiving and ran the Turkey-Trot with my cousins and ate an amazing meal with my great family! I also had this great idea that I would work Black Friday, and that Saturday, at the mall for some quick cash. Now that is a great transition into the states after being gone for a year! Sike! I thought I would be able to rest after Thanksgiving but instead went to the doctor, traveled to East Texas to visit my grandmother, and then drove to Missouri to speak at my Alma mater, Baptist Bible College, this past Thursday. So maybe next week I can take a break.
So here it is, the answer you have all been waiting for… THE NEXT STEP! Starting in January, I will be moving to Mijas, Spain to attend a 6 month internship at a leadership academy. Your first thought is that I’m crazy for leaving again so soon and how the heck are you paying for this. Here is why– I have been praying for about 3 years for a discipleship/mentorship person and in month 3, God answered. One of the most influential men I have ever known and grown to love this year, Dave Fredriksz, asked to be that person. So for the past 6 months I have been praying about this and waying the options. In Spain I will receive discipleship from an amazing group of people who have a call on their life to raise up leaders around the world for the purpose of bringing Kingdom.
Financially this makes no sense, but then again neither did this year, but I know that God will provide. So with that being said, I still need your prayers. Prayers for my family and friends whom I have been away from all year, prayers for God’s directions and plans for my time in Spain, and prayers for finances.
