Hey All! I’m sorry it’s been a while since I have blogged. I am finally back in the united states. I arrived back on US soil on Dec 1st in California. I stayed a few days there with a couple squad-mates having fun, exploring California and going to a recording of the Price is Right before returning back to PA on Dec 6th.
Since then I have been incredibly busy! I have been trying to re-integrate back into american culture at the height of the holiday season and adjust to living in american society again. I mean I have hot showers whenever I want, more food than I could eat in a lifetime, my own car to drive, a warm comfy bed and a loving family surrounding me. Oh, did i mention I got to meet my niece for the first time!!! She is the most adorable and happy baby ever! I could not be happier! I miss my squad-mates a lot, but there is something to be said for being HOME after being away for the past 11 months.
I wanted to give a little recap of my time in the Philippines. We ministered with K.I.M. (Kids International Ministries). We had several different ministries that we participated in including working with children, doing an AWANA program, Working with College students, basketball ministry and of course there was some physical labor involved! My teammate Tyler Hamilton made a video recap of the month that shows what our month was like better than I can say. So please check it out!
P.S. While it is amazing to be home, I have been in prayer for where the Lord is leading me next. I have been thinking about this question for the past couple months and the Lord has been amazing at leading me away from some options and towards others. He has finally lead me to what it is I will be doing next. I’ll go into it into more detail in my next blog but for now I will say that my next steps are to participate in a Discipleship Program. The program is run by AIM(Adventures in Missions), the organization the organizes The World Race and it is called CGA (Center for Global Action). It is here that I will be discipled by those older and wiser than myself, learn more about biblical concepts and theology and will be help in discerning what the Lord’s calling is for my life.
