this has been a really good month. our ministry contacts have been amazing and we have lived and worked with some really great people. the ministry that we have done has varied from day to day quite a bit. Much of our time was spent mostly at universities doing "english camps" with the goal of getting them to come to the english classes that we taught twice a week. i don't know how much we actually helped build their linguistic abilities but they certainly had fun. we also went around to a few elementary school to do shorter versions of what we were doing at the universities. YWAM has a campus club at all of the biggest universities in the area. some of our days were spent passing out fliers to student and trying to get them to come to the club meeting. their meetings were really fun. watching the christians here worship is a beautiful thing. they have such a clear and present desire to know Him and to serve him. YWAM maha sarakahm's mission statement is "to know Him and to make Him known" and the people here have truly made that their mission. My favorite day of ministry is when we went to the school for special needs kids. we got to go and just spend a few hours playing with them and teaching them songs and games. you can see some pictures on facebook i think.

once a week, we take a rest day. it's not only something that we need, but something that is mandated by AIM. a lot of teams use those days to do fun stuff like bungy jumping or sight seeing but because of our location and ministry the past two months, we havent been able to do anything really fun and adventurous. our rest days have consisted mostly of just getting a nicer dinner. this month was a little different. we were only about an hour bus ride from a town called khon kaen. It is quite a bit bigger than maha sarakahm and has a lot more to do, so we decided to go for jen's birthday. we ate at an american style buffet and ended up finding a really nice bar that had a cover band playing english songs and spent most of our night listening to them.

i finally got my laptop. just a small word of advice. dont ship anything to thailand unless it is a matter of life and death. customs here is very hard to deal with. i want to thank all of you again for your prayers and support that made me getting it possible.

we found out earlier this month that our logistics leaders were suprising us with a trip to phuket to end our month. we leave maha sarakahm tonight. we will take a bus to bangkok and then take another bus from bangkok to phuket. we will be in phuket 2 or 3 days and then we leave for malaysia. for those of you that follow the news, yes, there are anti-american protest going on in malaysia, but we have been assured by our contacts that there is nothing going on where we will be. i dont know anything about where ill be in malaysia or what ill be doing. ill update you guys when i get more information.

obviously pray for safe travels. continue to pray for the people on my squad that have yet to hit their october deadline. it is approaching in just a few days and i know that many people are still quite a ways away. pray that God is going before and preparing our ministry for us before we even know what it is.

thank you for your continued prayer and support
