So if you have known me well for any length of time, you know that I have been searching for God’s plan in my life. I have known for a few years that He has called me to serve Him overseas, for at least a few years of my life. Over the last two years since I graduated from Murray, people have asked me what I was doing now and my answer was always, “Oh just working…” The unspoken part of that was and waiting on God to open a door. I knew He had a plan so I remained at home, remained in a job that I knew I could walk away from at any time (sorry Dad!), I just kept floating along.

Over the last two years I have applied, and interviewed, and almost accepted several opportunities. Yet every time I almost walked through a door, God said no, or that door closed, or something happened. Then earlier this year someone told me to check out the World Race with Adventures in MissionsAs I looked at the different routes that were leaving in September and January, there was something about January Route 2 that felt like God saying yes. I prayed over it, council, prayed some more and finally said what the heck I will just apply. So after an application, online interview, phone interview, and soooo much prayer. A door was finally open to me, come January I will be leaving on the World Race!! Over the last weeks, I have completely doubted my ability, why God would choose to use me to further His kingdom, and what in the world I am thinking, but never once have I doubted if this adventure is one that God has chosen for me.

So if you are reading this you may just be wondering what in the heck is the World Race? Let me explain, it is an 11 month mission trip, where I will spend each month in a different country. Those countries being, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malawi, ZambiaZimbabwe, Ireland, Bulgaria, Moldova, and RomaniaIn each of those countries I could be involved with a variety of ministries, from those dealing with human trafficking, to orphans, to anything. I will be a part of a squad, that I can’t wait to get to know, and a team within that squad. I’m sure I am leaving tons of information out, but as it is jet lag is rearing its ugly head, and all my thoughts aren’t totally straight. Speaking of jet lag, Thailand was absolutely amazing, it was an incredible blessing to be able to see God work in such a mighty way, and in the next week I will do my best to write something on here to give you some more details.

If there is something you want to know feel free to comment and I will do my best to answer, or facebook message me, or call, or text, or email. All forms of communication are welcomed. 🙂

Love you all,

Audrey
