I hate writing these blogs. I hate asking you all for money. I hate asking for money in general. But if I don’t ask you for money, if I
don’t get up the nerve to ask you to partner with me in this ministry, then I
am being selfish. This is not all
about me. Asking you to support me
in this ministry is not about you giving me money. It’s about you supporting all the people who go on the field
whose lives are changed. By you
supporting me, you are supporting those individuals who feel the call to The
World Race. THEIR stories are YOUR
stories. MY stories are YOUR
stories!
M and N squads are coming home tomorrow. I helped at their training camp. It was the first training camp I had
ever attended where I wasn’t a participant. It was a month after I had come off the field myself, and
now they are coming home. They
have spent 11 months out on the field, spreading God’s love to the
nations.
A lot of them have been writing blogs about what they are
feeling about coming home and it puts me right back at my final debrief. It takes me back to the moment I said
goodbye to the last of my teammates.
It takes me back to the moment I stepped off the escalator and saw my
parents and sister for the first time in 11 months. I feel it all again.
It’s like all of those moments, all of those feelings come rushing over
top of me and I am paralyzed for a minute. I know how they are feeling. I know what they have gone through. And we couldn’t have done it without
you. None of us could go out into
the nations without your support behind us. Thank you. With
everything I have inside of me…Thank you!
I know I am not out of the country right now. I am sitting at my desk in the
Adventures In Missions office in Gainesville, Georgia as I write this. My job is to find those people who are
willing to go out into the nations and change the world.
But we can’t change
the world without you.
