We made it to Haiti!!
Since I arrived in the D.R. we had launch for five days and stayed at a compound where we had training and worship. During that time we made a video, which will be posted later, and we did some ATL (ask the Lord) ministry. It was a great time to adjust to new culture and spend time with our teams.
On friday morning we were scheduled to leave for Haiti at 9 a.m. which resulted in leaving at 11 a.m. We piled on a 27 seat bus with all 34 of us and started off on a six + hour bus ride. We only had one problem where we had to stop and fix the brakes. We realized that we were going to be late to the boarder and we all started praying for the boarder control people would be merciful.
It ended up that we were late to the boarder and our amazing guide Aaron encouraged (with money) to let us cross that night. Through the financial support and after a shady money exchange deal we were on our way through D.R. to Haiti.
Saturday we arrived at our site at Mission of Hope were they had tents already set up and food waiting for us. We’re are located in Grand Goave on the beach by the ocean! God is for sure giving us mercy on our first month of ministry.
Today we had church at 7 a.m. and will go back tonight for the night service. We do not know yet what we will being doing for ministry this month due to our contacts just arriving back home.
I’ll continue to keep you update with the new adventures! Please check out my teammates’ blogs and continue to pray for safty and financial support, we are not fully funded yet.
Also, the internet is random at times so we all don’t get the chance to write all the time so you’ll get the best info from the team blogs. 🙂
Peace and blessings!
