I’ve said my good-byes and see you laters, packed my bags, and headed up, up and away……………
Oh my gosh….am I really doing this? ………..the adventure has begun…………
One phrase that I am reminded of as i’m traveling to my first destination is “die to self”. Among the adventure and the excitement is the reality that my life will never be the same. I’m moving on into the next season of my life where my home is now a tent that is carried on my back and a new mindset is being molded into a mindset of a servants’. My expectation is that God is going to be God and that I am here trying to follow close into his foot steps. I have shed tears for my loved ones, my family, but the aching of my heart to following after the One who calls me is stronger than the tears. Above all else I desire for me and you to answer the call that God has called us to follow. To be a people after His own heart, not easily shaken, strenthened in faith, moved by the Holy Spirit. Without Him we have nothing, we would have no life.
So this is my challenge to myself and to you, walk worthy of the calling that God has called you to.
God doesn’t need us to figure this out and make a plan. He has The Plan! How exciting is it that we were created to be a part of the Grand Plan?! And what a relief it is that we are not in charge.
I love God because He doesn’t call us to go directly from point a to point z but has fashioned us for a process. A process of choosing Him and His ways over our own and serving HIm in the place that we are. Whether a new Christian or a seasoned veteran, a preacher or a factory worker, living in Africa or in Michigan – we are all called.
Let us daily Choose God, Choose His Ways, and Choose to die to self.
