Hello!
This all has been so amazing! The support you have poured over me has rocked my world! Whether it has been prayerfully, words of affirmation, financially, attending a fundraiser, or even driving 90 miles with me to serve PB&J all day to bicyclist. Every bit of it has kept me encouraged, uplifted, and confident along this journey!
T-Shirts, Chix Wings, and Bikes!
The first round of fundraisers was a success! Thank you, thank you, and thank you to everyone who ordered a Live Without Borders shirt or wristband, came out to Buffalo Wild Wings, or volunteered at the Sea Otter Classic! It was a hit! Please send me a picture of you in your LWB shirt and/or wristband, or any photos you have from the events. They are going on my blog! If you are still interested in purchasing a shirt, check out my store at: livewithoutborders.bigcartel.com, or contact me directly. There are still a few left 🙂
Stay tuned, I will be announcing more fundraisers soon!! If you are interested in joining the Borderless Volunteer Crew, let me know!
The World Race:
The World Race is a program sponsored by AIM that focuses primarily on serving those who have been oppressed and marginalized by their society, or are stuck in poverty with little means to support themselves and their families.
On the race I will travel to: Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Botswana, Swaziland, South Africa, Turkey, Albania, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities. Our work will consist of building houses, churches, and orphanages, teaching English to children in schools, spending time with the terminally ill, building relationships with street children, working in orphanages and alongside local churches as they serve their community, and ministering to women, men, and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking.
Financial Update: 11% Funded!!!
I must raise $16,285 in order to be fully funded by my September 2014 launch. This cost includes the price for airfare and land travel from one country to the next, as well as room and board for the entire 11 months. If you have any questions about what I have just shared, or are interested in finding ways to partner with me along this journey, please do not hesitate to contact me!
