Well…. Where to start? I have NEVER
blogged before. This is new, please bare with me as I get a hold of
this (hehe) (= *smiley face.
My name is Ashlie
Allen.
I am 21 years
old.( I will soon be 22 July 13th is my birthday )
I CURRENTLY
live in Kalamazoo, MI. But I am
originally from Rowland Heights, Ca.
For the past 2
years I have been involved in an internship
with my church called
The Rock. I can
honestly say that have been changed from the inside out from this
intern program, as God
used it to help me along the straight
and narrow path. If you would like to check it out we have a web
site it is: www.rockinternship.com
There are currently 14 individuals that have joined for the 2009-2010
intern program.
I
am still currently in this intern program. I graduate on August 1st,
2010.
I have FOUR
sisters and a niece, SIX
cousins that are really close to me, Parents who are still happily
married, 4 grandparents (two from each sides of the family)… total
of 6 Uncles and Aunties together. I
LOVE MY FAMILY!! I think we are all pretty
close.
Thus far my daily life
consists of working at the Church office.
Doing the
labor of love such as: administration in
our discipleship classes that happen through out the year, our
courtyard team for church services Wednesday’s
and Sunday’s. This also includes assisting
Pastor’s and other leaders in the church as well as attending to
regular facilities in keeping the church building cleaned and
organized so that it is ready to receive congregation members. I have
been getting discipled, learning to divide the word in truth and then
practice what I learned.
Before the Jan Race 2011
trip I am going to ISRAEL
!! That’s exciting!! This trip
will be happening October
25th
– November 11th.
I’ll be going with our young adults/ college group ages 18-29. It is
called The
Israel Impact, we have a
website too, it is: www.theisraelimpact.com
Pretty cool story is that one of our interns has been developing his
skills in the arts and graphic design, and he designed this
website…
I am SOOO thankful to GOD as He has been using me and teaching me about my call towards the
missions field. God is so good and He has prepared this for me before
I knew I even wanted this… Amazing. When your works are committed
to the Lord, He establishes your thoughts and and the paths are made
straight!
I feel that I am “NEW”-er
in a sense to being a disciple of Jesus. I have been a “believer”
but not like how I should be. I did not do the works of Jesus, nor
did I fully understand what it meant to be a Christian. It has been
3 YEARS
that I can say that I have given my full devotion and dedication to
my Lord Jesus.
Thanks
for letting me share a little something with you!!
