My time as a team leader has come to an end. It has been four months, and those months have been fairly difficult. Starting leadership, we were going into an Ask The Lord month where you team simply asks and goes where you feel lead. There is a lot more stress in those months because you have so much more you have to take care of including all logistics, passports, visas, etc. When we came into Africa, we didn’t have much planned out for us, so we had a lot of work to get done in getting all the teams to their ministry sites. We have had to do that the entire time we have been in Africa. Now we are heading out of our second ATL month and on into Europe-without me as team leader.
I have learned a lot from being team leader and have enjoying the time I have spent doing it. I love administrative work and this role has been a lot of that. Here are some things I have learned:
* having to lead your peers is very hard, but it had made me face conflict more than I have ever wanted to.
* being bold and not caring what other people think about me, just being obedient to the Lord.
* being confident in myself and speaking what is on my heart without question what I have to say in front of others.
Please pray for David Matthew as he is taking over as our new team leader!!
The squad leaders took out all the team leaders for a fun night…we went to rugby game in Joburg!!! It was such a fantastic night and so much fun!!! Here we all are enjoying ourselves after the game!
