As I think about this first week on the world race, words really can´t describe what has happened and the work of the Lord. It is hard to put things into words. Unless you were right here with me experiencing every little detail with me, there is no way to trulry unveil the Lords heart and his work in each individuals life, the place we are in or the conditions we are living, nor can you understand the involvement of each hand picked individual on this team in my life and in each other´s lives. I have been journaling on my computer every night and still don´t feel like I can even touch on what is truely happening to me and in my life. To sum it up in one word, I would say CHANGE. And if you were to read anyone else´s blog or talk to any one who is here, they would probably say something similar. This trip is all about change in any way you could think. A change of food, environment, clothing, weather, people, speech, and a change of heart and mind. And God is now beginning to change me into who he really wants me to be. Not the person I have always been told to be by religion. It is going to hurt and be hard, but it is going to be AWESOME! I know God is going to bless me with new gifts and that he will be inspiring on my heart what he has in store for me. I am no longer looking to the past, but looking straight into the light of Jesus my Lord.
Today we have come to the end of our training, and tomorrow we are splitting up to go to our first ministry sights. We are spending the next three weeks with another team about an hour from the place we are at now. We will be in the desert, but only about 10 minutes from the ocean! It will be much hotter, but I don´t care, anything is better than -20!! It sounds like we have some flexability and options with this ministry. And I am really hoping to do a lot of sports ministry in the next three weeks. I could also be teaching English and working with women in the church. I am super excited about the options and possibilities! Please pray for us as we head there! It is going to be an exciting start to this journey!!!
