Here it is, two weeks away from my departure! I will be heading
out from Detroit on January 3rd and then will be leaving from Miami on
January 4th early in the morning to get to Santo Domingo in the
Dominican Republic. The Lord is blessing me and providing for not only
me, but all the people that are going on this trip. I can’t believe how
fast time has gone, and how I will be leaving so soon. It is going to
be a whirlwind! I am very excited to be reunited with the “family” that
I grew to love in just 8 days.
The Lord is really stretching my heart, and my prayer the past
few weeks has been that He would really begin to open my heart to all
the feelings and emotions that I am having and that I will have when I
am gone. I am not a super emotion person, which I have always thought
to be a good thing. But in the past few years, I have begun to realize
that because I am not too emotional, I also have a hard time expressing
how I really feel to people. So as I head out, my prayer is to be
opened to my emotions in new new ways. It will be a brand new
experience for me!
