there? I remember going to Zambia, Africa two years ago with some
expectations. My expectations held the typical dust orange sun in the
distance with the giraffe and elephant out in the bush wandering
around, the dress and look of the people, the huts they live in.
However, my expectations were blown out of the water when arriving
there and seeing the real Africa. While life has continued, I have had
to learn the hard way about many expectations and have purposefully
tried to keep as little expectation as possible. But as we all know,
there will still be certain expectations there.
I can and do expect to see God at work in the hearts and lives of
people all over the world. God is the only safe expectation I feel I
can have, through scripture. I can count on God for so many things. I
expect God to work in my life and I expect to learn so many more things
than I could imagine at this moment. I could probably go on and on
about what I expect God to do, but the simple fact is that I KNOW
he is going to move and do great works, as he always does, and that he
could do these things without me, but has chosen me, in all my weakness
and downfalls, to use me.
