She is one of the most sensitive, gentle, and tender women I know – yet, one of the strongest and boldest. She laughs a lot and she loves to sing – especially unto the Lord.

She knows what’s right and she chooses to do it, even when it’s hard. She won’t back away from confrontation and she believes in community. What else does she believe in? Well, let’s see. She speaks life into people when we need it the most. She believes that words change everything. She loves people and she does it well. She believes in genuine, down-n-dirty, unconditional l-o-v-e. When the enemy has beaten me up for a couple of rounds, she affirms the woman I truly am. She believes in affirmation.

She believes in seeing the best people have to offer… even when it’s hard to find. She believes in memorizing scripture, praying without ceasing, and worshipping her little heart out.
She believes in Jesus, and all He has to offer.

She operates in the prophetic and allows God to use her to encourage others around her. She is led by the Holy Spirit and gets excited every time she hears His voice. Every. Single. Time.
She’s a people lover…. a dream nourisher…. an atmosphere changer. She is truly a woman with whom the Most High is pleased.
She is goofy and fun and I cannot get enough of her!

Her name is Amy … and she is my best friend.

Amy,
I know that letters mean so much to you. And you’ve spent hours preparing letters/blogs for the people you love most. But this letter, Ames, is for you. To bring blessings to your heart, to remind you who you are, and quite frankly to tell the rest of the world just how amazing you are.

Selflessly, you put your time and energy into people and things that will never be able to repay you. You spend so much of your time pouring life into others that it seems you’ll eventually run dry. But you never do, do you? Because your cup overflows with the Spirit that never, ever runs out. To watch you love others is like watching the sunset over an African mountain – it’s beautiful. Your big heart and pure intentions leave people wondering how someone could truly be so genuine. When you walk into a room, life breaks out. You bring a warmth and security. Simply put, you make me feel safe.

Thank you for spending countless hours praying for me. Thank you for having countless conversations building me up and reaffirming the woman I am. Thank you for sitting quietly, countless times, as I vent and “get it all out.” Thank you for calling me “Lovely.” Thank you for being you.
I can't imagine WHY people would call us twins…. but I love that they do! 😉

You always find a way to make fun out of nothing! Even if it's fake snow!

You are such a hard worker and amazing servant!

You make the best out of every situation! Even a 50-hour train ride…

I always have a BLAST with you!!

You need to know that your obedience to Christ, your passion for life, and your love for all things do not go unnoticed. Not only do people recognize it, but God Almighty takes note as well.

He calls you Victorious and with you, he is well pleased.
I love you so much and I cannot wait to finish seven more months with you! “Month five and we’re stiiiiiillllll together!”

So much love,
Ash
