I have this great community through Horizon Christian Fellowship. I go to bible study on Thursdays with some super rad peeps, at a gorgeous house that is generously provided by Deborah and her family. Deborah has a close friend, Dianne who blows me away. Dianne works, volunteers really, at a school in Tecate CA, right on the border of Mexico. This school, Tecate Missions, provides education and support for children who want to excel. No matter what their background or family situation, all are welcome to attend. They have earned such an amazing reputation that people put their children on waiting lists years before they can even go to school. It's that awesome.
Dianne invited me to come speak with her class about my upcoming missions trip and wow, just wow.
These kids are so loving, lovely, mature, fun, spunky and honest. After I spoke, I invited them outside in small groups to share any prayer requests. Man, these children deal with a lot. I am just so impressed with them. For their safety, I can't put up a picture of them, or their names, but please, please, pray for this children, that they may grow up strong in their identity as children of our awesome God.
