I'm sitting here in my wonderful apartment, about to head out to church, which I also adore and find amazing community in. It is sunny, about 70 degrees, one of my best friends drove all the way down from Fresno just to spend time with me and help me prepare for this race. My cat is healthy and snuggley and has a home when I leave, fundraisers are planned and the Lord is good. Life is so good right now, I kind of don't know what to do about it.

With our first deadline today, it has been a very WR filled week. I have been in contact with as many World Racers as possible to see how they are doing, share how I am, and offer and receive an unbelievable amount of support. I am floored by how much we are able and willing to support each other even now, having not even met in person. Something about this trip, people don't seem to care that you were a stranger 5 minutes ago. As soon as you hear that someone is going on the race: instant family.

It's about time for church so I'd like to end with a small small small expression of gratitude for all the people who are supporting me. Thank you Sarah D for your generous donation and hosting all our vampire goodness on Sundays. Thank you Kellyn and Jessi and Erica and Angela and Molly and Mollie and Nan and Pat and Darren and Frank for selling bracelets and spreading the word about my trip. Thanks Piper for being you. Thank you Aunt Lisa, Dakota, Uncle Randy, Evan, Garrett and the whole Butterfield team for making so so so much jewelry for my art show! Uncle Randy, you are getting tons of compliments on your jewelry making skills. Thanks Mom and Dad, for everything, really, I don't have the time in this life to write out all the things you have done and are doing.

Much love to everyone on this blessed day!
