“And as He spoke He no longer looked to them like a lion; but the things that began to happen after that were so great and beautiful that I cannot write them. And for us this is the end of all the stories, and we can most truly say that they all lived happily ever after. But for them it was only the beginning of the real story. All their life in this world and all their adventures in Narnia had only been the cover and the title page: now at last they were beginning Chapter One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read: which goes on forever: in which every chapter is better than the one before.”
I can’t help but cry every single time I read this. To me it is how I view heaven…that things are so beautiful they simply can’t be written down and the goodness never ends. That there is a story waiting for us that NO ONE has read but everyone should! And that is why I am doing what I am doing. That is why I am traveling the world, to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia…to tell people about Him. About the Author and Perfecter of my Faith who wants so desperately to bring His children home. Because quite frankly, I believe in things that the world would call crazy; I believe in a world that doesn’t make sense. I believe in miracles. I believe in a world that coincides with everything that nature and science tell us. I believe in Jesus Christ even though I cannot see Him in the way that most would consider seeing something, but rather in His creation and in His beautiful people that I have been privileged to meet along the way.
One of the things I enjoy most on the race, and any time I’ve travelled, is worshipping God with the body of Christ. To be in Selaphum, Thailand or Uganda, Africa and literally feel at home because I am worshipping Christ with my family; I cannot describe it. It is so humbling and beautiful. To see different parts of Him in every person we see and to worship Him in so many different ways and to experience so many different cultures. It is absolutely splendid to see the body of Christ around the world and to feel home even though you are miles away from the street where you grew up.
no one who has left house or parents or brothers or wife or children,
for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times more in this present time,
and in the age to come eternal life.”
Luke 18:29-30.
