Ravy woke up the other day with the question “What’s next?” in his head. He asked God and received a response that would lead him to the market. However, he needed a bicycle to get there. Outside a little boy had just arrived riding one. So Ravy asked the Lord, “What’s next?” “Ask the boy to use his bike.” So, he did. “Ask the little boy to go with you.” So, he did.
When they arrived at the market, they walked around a bit while Ravy asked the Lord, “What’s next?” “Ask the boy what he wants from the market.” So, he did. The little boy said he needed a pair of shoes because he didn’t have any to wear to school. Ravy consulted the Lord, “You want me to buy him some shoes.” “Yes.” So, he did.

Ravy is an inspiration to me. He grew up Buddhist and was firm in his religion. When people talked about Jesus hatred formed in his heart toward them. But, Ravy had a strong desire to speak foreign languages. That desire led him to an English school in his small village. This English school was run by a Christian. The teachers taught English, but they didn’t stop there. They preached the gospel through words and actions. And every time Ravy wanted to hit someone.

(Singing "My God is so big, so strong and so mighty")
He tried several times to leave the school, but looking back now he knows that God was guiding him without him even knowing it. Somehow he ended up back at school every day. He heard about Jesus every day. And Jesus stole his heart. He couldn’t afford a bible so he borrowed a friend’s and copied the verses into his notebook so that he could read them later. He did this until he won a bible through a competition. Ravy now translates for this same English school; my team has been working alongside him all month. He is the only Christian in his family, but he has full faith that the Lord is going to steal their hearts, as well.
That is dedication. That is passion.
How dedicated are you to growing in your faith? Are you willing to fight against all odds and circumstances to know your Savior?
