Praise the Lord! He has already provided 65% of the funds needed for The World Race! Since, I have been out here at camp, I haven’t had as much time as I would like to focus on the race and specifically on fund raising. But, there are still things I can do even while I am out here at camp!
A few weeks ago, a friend and I watched the movie Facing the Giants. There is a scene in the movie that really stirred my <3 heart!
There is a man that walks the halls of the school every day and prays over them. He prays for revival to happen in the school. One day, he walks into the coach’s office and shares with him a word that he heard from the Lord. Afterwards, the coach asks him for a little advice. The man tells him this story:
There were two farmers that needed their crops to grow. However, there hasn’t been rain in way too long. Both farmers pray to God and ask Him to send the rain so that their crops will grow. One of the farmers then went and prepared his fields for the rain. The other farmer did not.
After watching this scene, I immediately thought about my asking of the Lord to provide rain. And by rain I mean funds for the World Race. Have I been preparing the fields? Is the Lord waiting on me to send the rain?
