One day Daniel and I were out and about, wandering the streets of Dublin when we decided to go into Pennies, a departemnt store. I was having a hay day because I saw all of these really cute things for SUPER cheap, I looked at Daniel half jokingly asked, my voice filled with despair, “why did you bring me here?!” He laughed cause he knows what I’m like when it comes to shopping. I continued looking around with the intent of coming back another day (when I could bring all my friends), but couldn’t pry myself away from everything that was jumping up and down screaming my name. As I was having a battle with my mind and my wallet, a lady (Patsie) came up beside me and started talking to me. I chatted with her for a couple minutes, talking excitedly about how great the prices were. Daniel and I told her about how torturous it was for us to look at all of this great stuff but not really buy anything because we couldn’t take it with us. She was curious as to what we were up to, and the minute we told her that we were on a missions trip, her face lit up and she asked “You’re believers?”. We explained to her what we were doing in Ireland, telling her that we were working with DCM. Next thing we know, she looks down at her hands where she is holding her a couple bills, picks one out and hands it to Daniel saying “Take this and go by yourselves a nice cup of coffee.” Surprised at what just happened, it took us a moment to comprehend this act of kindness. We tried to give the money back to her, but she wouldn’t take it, so we expressed our gratitude, she smiled at us and hurried away. God is just full of surprises, I would have loved to have seen the look on his face as He planned this out for us and then watched it happen.

P.s. I was good and didn’t buy anything… yet hehe.
