Faith. (I am on
a mission trip, what F bomb did you think I was going to use? 🙂 )

Yes, faith
is having hope, believing in things that are unseen or yet to come, but I have
been realizing lately that it is so much more than that.

By our faith
we are saved. “For by grace you have been
saved through faith”Ephesians
2:8
. Yes it is by the grace of God that we have been saved, and we
obtain that through our faith that we have in Jesus dying on the cross
for our sins, and raising from the dead to set us free. We are saved from an
eternity or pain and suffering and released to a place where there will be no
more crying, pain, or death (Revelations
21:4
)

We have been
made acceptable, and received grace by faith. “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace
with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained
access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in
hope of the glory of God.” – Romans 5:1
We
are accepted by God through our faith. We get peace with the Father, the
maker of the Heavens and the Earth. The God who knitted you together in your
mother’s womb (Psalm ) is “good” with you! Even though all the sin, all the
crap we deal with, and dish out daily. All the things we hide from others that
He sees, He gives back not wrath and punishment, but GRACE. How much peace do
you feel knowing that the God of the entire universe has grace with your sinful
heart? What faith that takes to feel that grace and peace!

Speaking of sin.
“Your faith has saved you; go in
peace.” – Luke 7:50.
This is Jesus talking to a woman who has
committed adultery; after he spoke to her that her sins were forgiven. She
could have received these words and done away with them. She could have focused
on all the things she has done and how unforgivable they were, but Jesus said
that her faith had saved her. I take this as she had faith that
when Jesus said to her she was forgiven, she believed it. Our past, our sins,
are forgiven in Christ. When the bible says that all things are yours
(1Corinthians 3:22) it does not include the past… think about it. Have faith
that when Jesus took nails on the cross it was for your sin. What would be the
point of Him dying if we do not accept it?

“Daughter your faith has made you
well; go in peace and be healed of your disease.” – Mark 5:34
. So, when Jesus is talking to the woman that reached out to
touch Him when she was sick, He said that her faith has made her well.
What do you think healed her? Did it say a doctor, strong medicine, power
though laying hands and praying (not to lessen the importance of these things
when people are sick) healed her? No, her FAITH had made her well. She
believed it, she walked in it, and she was healed. Do you have faith
that Jesus will heal you? Is your trust and faith in modern day medicine
and doctors? Or do you still believe that sickness and pain and suffering is
what you deserve? (If you have not caught on by now to Jesus, it is what we
deserve, but He died on our behalf so we can live. Grace people!)

Lastly; one that
struck me hard a few months ago was “And
this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.”1John 5:4 It
goes on to say “Who is it that overcomes the world except
the one who believes that Jesus is the son of God.
” Our faith has
OVERCOME THE WORLD. Do you realize how big this world is? Do you realize how
full of pain, suffering, and heartache this world is? Do you realize that what
overcomes all these things is our faith? Greater is He who is in us than
he who is in the world. (Christ in us, satan in this world (I John 4:4)) Our faith
in Jesus Christ gives us victory that has overcome the WORLD. Take a minute to
think about that.

I want faith
to sink deep in your heart.
I want Jesus to sink down deep in your
hearts.
When you think of
faith  do not think of just something you
believe in without seeing.
When you think of Jesus do not think of
just something you believe in without seeing
. I want you to know how powerful our faith is. I want
you to know how powerful our Jesus is.

Our faith has saved us.
Jesus has
saved us.
Our faith has made us acceptable before
the Father.
Jesus has made us acceptable
before the Father.
Our faith has set us free from our sin. Jesus
has set us free from our sin.

Our faith has healed us
. Jesus has healed us. Our
faith
has overcome the world
. Jesus has
overcome the world.
