I am writing this blog from the United States, people!

After a crazy 30something no A/C train ride to New Delhi, then a few days of debreifing and hard goodbyes, to a wonderful 8hr plane ride to Frankfurt, Germany, then a final plane ride with my whole squad from Germany to New York City. Then I flew with some good ole Georgians back to Atlanta where I not only met some family and friends, but I also reunited with one of my favorite things: sweet tea!!

I am still catching up with old friends and getting used to American foods. Some might say that I am going through reverse culture shock. Things are different here in the United States than when I left. But hopefully the most different thing is me. I have gained so much knowledge and wisdom and insight over this year, and it is my prayer that I do not lose any of that just because my current address is going to be more permanent than a month for a while. This will be a transition into American life, although I do not want to transition back into American culture and go back to all of my old ways. All of the growing pains and hard work I have put my soul through this year, this whole experience, will not be in vain because I am going to continue to claim my identity in Christ, be bold in all actions, live in a culture of honor and love, and just be the strongest woman of God than I can be everyday!

Most importantly, know this: just because this race is over, does not mean the end of me, nor does it mean the end of this blog. My journey is truly just beginning, So stay tuned for what comes next…cause I would love to keep you informed of all of that :]
