The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish.

Red leather, yellow leather.

Thailand is HOT. USA is COLD.

Pizza=America

These are just a few things that the future leaders of Thailand now know in english. Beleive it or not, they actually let me in a classroom all by myself to teach about twenty fourth-graders english for three hours straight. The teacher even left the room. It was me and them. And they were so hungry to learn! They recited every word, every phrase that I said. They were so eager to learn everything that I had to say. Even if it was just Dr. Suess, because I was out of ideas at that point. We even got to teach them american games, and got to play with them all afternoon!

The World Race has given me so many opportunities to do many different types of ministry in so many different cultures, and for that I could not be more grateful. However, and I never really knew this about myself, I kind of LOVE teaching! When the child could repeat back their name and where they were from, the joy that came from their face was spectacular. It truly lit me up. Yeah sure, maybe I could have spent a little more time teaching them some conversational english so they could actually use what they learned in an average context, but they will never forget the sheer wisdom of Dr. Suess.
