I am not sure if I knew what my third month on the race would look like, but I definitely did not think I would be in Panama. Even though they tell us contantly to not have expectations, I envisioned myself lying on a beach in Costa Rica all through the Christmas Holiday. Well, I am not there. However I think I am right where God wants me. Which is the best place to be.

The people here in Changinola and Guabito, Panama are just so passionate and truly on fire for the Almighty. Last Saturday we went to a church service on a Saturday night, that was totally packed with all ages, that was just a service of Thanks. There were colorful balloons, flowers, letters and images just praising our God. When we started singing songs of worship, many women flocked to the front and pulled out some dance moves I have never seen before! They were moving about as their bodies allowed, eyes closed, and just completely lost in worship for the King. I know that people back home would have probably laughed at the sight of the intense dancing, however here…it was almost weird to NOT dance. Why would we not just boldly praise our Creator? In every and any way possible?

Another aspect of our ministry this month is both physically and spiritually building up our contact’s church. He is a great man of God, and will be a great Pastor to this community. We have been doing some evangelism in the local community, as well as building stairs, a deck for the bathroom and such, painting the entire outside building, painting the bathrooms, and making other slight repairs to the church. We even hung up pretty curtains everywhere we could. This pastor cared so much about his church that it mattered to him what color the trim was, what color the inside of the restroom was. He cared about every little detail of the building, because he knew that it mattered to the church. Every little detail mattered to him because he knows it matters to God. What a cool way of looking at things?!

Psalm 145:1-3,7
I will extol You, my God, Oh King, And I will bless your name forever and ever. Everyday I will bless you, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord and highly to be praised, And His greatness is unsearchable. They shall eagerly utter the memory of Your abundant goodness and will shout joyfully of Your righteousness.
