Happy Thanksgiving!!! I am thankful for all of my supporters! I still can’t believe I’m fully funded. You guys rock. Whether you read this blog, pray for me, or financially support me. I’m enjoying Thanksgiving in Zambia, I don’t think I’ve ever sweat this much on thanksgiving day. I’ve been to the pool, and will soon enjoy a thanksgiving meal at a fancy hotel. The owner is an American and invites people to enjoy Thanksgiving at his hotel every year. I miss my family and the cold weather but I know that I am where I’m supposed to be.
This month has been amazing, I’ve fallen in love with Jesus and in turn have been able to love everyone around me well. It’s just the love of Jesus flowing straight out of me. I’ve been able to help bring a brother to Jesus. He works at a market selling household repair items. His dream is to be a driver. Here’s where you guys come in. It’s about 200 american dollars total for the process it will take for him to get his license. Once he gets his license, my friend Simwiinga knows a guy who needs a driver. The only thing keeping him from getting his license is money. I really have connected with Joshua, he’s bright, he has a promising future, and he’ll for sure be a light for the Kingdom where ever he goes. I visited Joshua the day after we prayed with him to accept Christ and he was already having spiritual conversations with his friends, defending his Savior. He was asking for advice on what to say. I have added pictures just so you can see how bright his smile is. I plan on filtering the money through Simwiinga, who is going to be mentoring Joshua through this process and make sure that the money is used only for the license process. He’ll go with Joshua to all his appointments and pay for him there. I believe Joshua has a brilliant future, he’ll be the best driver in all of Livingstone and he would do it regardless of how long it took him to raise the money, I just really feel like God is putting on my heart to raise support for him to get it faster. Since it’s close to Christmas time and end of the year tax deductions, I also have most of my team mates who still need support in order to be fully funded by the end of the year. They need to raise all their support or they won’t be able to continue the race. I’ll post links to their blogs. You should take a gander and pray about which one you could support. They’re all amazing and have already taught me so much just in our first month as a new team together.
