I wanted to take a post to introduce you to the amazing women I’ll be spending the next several months with.
From left to right.
Christian: I love her joy and the humor she brings to our team. Sometimes I think I need to be loud and obnoxious for people to laugh at my jokes. Christian has shown me that it’s possible to let joy shine through without being loud. I hope her peaceful joy rubs off on me.
Kapri: She is bold, open, and vulnerable. She is a warrior and doesn’t let the enemy win. She uses her past to allow God’s love shine through. I hope to learn how to be as courageous as she is.
Kendra: My fellow external processor! She is a prayer warrior. She is usually the first to suggest prayer before we make any rash decisions or form our own opinions on a situation with out asking the Spirit. I hope prayer becomes as second nature to me as it is to her.
Meghan: She is a calm assertive leader. During the question process of team formations I described her personality as someone I would love to follow in characteristics alone, having never even been on a team with her. I hope to learn how to be a Jesus following leader like her.
Serena: She hurts when others are sharing their pain. She isn’t afraid to express it. She has a surprising sense of humor that you wouldn’t notice unless you spend an extended period of time with her. I hope to learn how to truly feel others pain like she does.
These ladies are going to grow and stretch me in ways I never knew was possible and I can’t wait (well, maybe I can…it’s going to be painful…a good kind of painful.) for launch when I get to be reunited with them again. I know God will teach me many things through each individual person on this team. He knit us together beautifully and I couldn’t be happier. As Meghan put it, “I want to walk the streets together and have people see the light of Jesus on us…” That’s just part of what team Alvah is all about. I love you ladies!!!!
