Friends. I’m not very good at admitting when I need help. Then again, who really is? There is this little voice inside telling us that we can do it on our own. That voice is screaming at me right now but Jesus is telling me I need help. I can’t do this on my own.
With the help of my lovely mother, we’ve come up with a couple ideas.
1. Would you be willing to take a box of Daffin’s candy bars and sell them for me? If you’ve never had Daffin’s before, you’re missing out…I promise these candy bars will sell themselves if you are willing to give it a try. Daffin’s is a local company (Sharon, PA) that sells their product to those needing to raise funds for 50% of the price. Meaning 50% of what you sell will go towards my trip. This is the milkiest, creamiest, yummiest, most delightful chocolate you’ll ever taste. Just trust me on this one if you never had the pleasure of eating Daffin’s before.
2. Do you know of anyone (or maybe a company) who would be willing to match any funds I raise? If so, give me their info, or them my info…or both. I would love to discuss logistics.
3. Have you shared the link to my blog on Facebook or twitter? (even instagram?) The more people that know about this the better. I just want to share my heart with everyone I know, and everyone they know. Jesus is doing so many amazing things in my life and I want the world to know how awesome the God I serve is. There are handy buttons you can click at the top (and bottom) of each blog post to easily share my blog on all social network sites.
4. Have you fundraised before? If so, what are some ways you found most profitable? Perhaps you have talents that could help promote my World Race more. Please, share with me ideas and maybe you can give me a little moral support as well.
5. I am having a baked potato bar lunch at Linesville First Baptist church on Sunday, June 1st directly after 2nd service. (12:30) I would love to talk to you and tell you more about what it is I will be doing. I’ll have a short presentation and I would love to answer any questions you may have about the World Race. Please, invite friends. This will be a donation only fundraiser.
6. Pray. I need prayer warriors. I can’t do this on my own. I need people to pray for me daily for a very long time. I will send you prayer updates once or twice a month so you can know more specifically how to pray. I will need you to let me know if you’re interested in committing to that so I can add you to my email list.
