“Have them make a sanctaury and I will dwell among them” Exodus 25 8

After two plane rides, two bus rides, and about seven hours on the side of the road due to a broken down bus, our team finally arrived in the beautiful town of Palenque Mexico. A small town nestled in jungle valley of Southern Mexico.  Before leaving the states, I was reguarly asked the question, “Are you ready for the World Race?”  My thoughts…..What does it mean to be ready?
If I packed perfectly would I be ready for the World Race?
The support and encouragement I reacieved prior to departure has left me overwhemled in gratitude. Does that make me ready?
If I knew every language or every cultural faux pas, would I be ready then?
Among the numerous things I have learned in the last months of my life, the one truth that is changeing my life is this.  Christ dwells among us. In the prepartion period I have heard the voice of God more than any other point in my life. I have been moved by his grace, and His gentle persuit of me.  Christ has come to dwell among us, so that in Christ we may one day dwell with Him. Gods heart for humans is good. He has a glorious longing to meet with each us.
So,  am I ready for the World Race? Maybe or maybe not.  Yet I know this one truth for certain. Jesus Christ the Lord of Lord  and King of Kings, the God who has all power and all authority….dwells with me. In that one truth I will walk forth this day.
