Hey everyone!
I am a 31 year old female loving Jesus in San Antonio, TX. Though I work full-time as a Critical Care Registered Nurse, I have been serving in Kansas City, MO at International House of Prayer (IHOP) as an intern and will be here until September.
I grew up in Corpus Christi with my parents and two older brothers. I moved to Austin for college and after some wandering, ended up in San Antonio in 2014.
God has certainly walked me through a wilderness in my lifetime and I love Him even more because of it. I love to connect with people and hear their journeys.
I love my time with the Lord and that is what is most important in my life. I enjoy fellowship, reading, writing, and running. If I can do any of those things on the beach, I’m even more happy! I love to camp, though I never do it. Looks like I’ll be camping around the world in my near future 😉
I feel called to minister to the Lord and to His people all my life, whether it be on the other side of the world, at the local grocery store, or at the bedside in a hospital somewhere.
My Myers-Briggs is ENFP. I believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and pray for all of them! I am a resilient and determined young lady with an encouraging spirit. I am challenged by being my own worst critique when I forget my identity in Christ.
I recommitted my life to Christ on June 20, 2014, which is also my sobriety date. It has been a difficult, worthwhile, and beautiful journey since then. I joined my church downtown and ended up leading a recovery class soon after. God has given me a testimony for the broken, making all things work together for His good. I became baptized in the Holy Spirit as I was discovering the pleasure and power of prayer. This eventually led me to International House of Prayer, where I’ve been since April of this year. I look forward to returning to Texas at the end of my internship in September.
As I’ve prayed through the night watch in the prayer room for missionaries in the nations, I felt the LORD calling me to step out onto the field myself. I want to reach those who have not heard the gospel, as well as get out of my comfort zone by experiencing other cultures and true communal living.
I am so excited to see more of God’s beautiful creations, become closer to Him, and lead others to do the same. I would greatly appreciate prayer for financial provision, inner strength, and revelation of who He is.
