After spending five days in a room with twenty people in the
midst of processing pretty much your entire life, a ten hour train ride to
Transylvania becomes very appealing.
Don’t get me wrong, debrief was a great time to reassess my
purpose on this trip and really step into my role on my team and my squad. But
after mentally, physically and spiritually testing and pushing myself, I was
about to collapse by the end of it all.
Let me explain “debrief” to those of you who have absolutely
no idea what I’m talking about. We have two of them on this race (well I think
so anyway) It is as time where the entire squad, squad leaders and people from
the states who are leaders in the world race come to basically check in with us
and see how teams are meshing. They also plan lots of team building or other
activities to occupy your time. Add in personal social time and by the end of 5
days, you have gotten about a days worth of sleep.
So, to be stuck on a very nice train, riding through
beautiful scenery for ten hours seemed like heaven for me. And it was…just a
little piece of heaven…
A rainbow of trees…

A house in the countryside of Transylvania
Of course since the reflection was getting in the way of all my pictures, I had to take one of myself at night (check out all the packs behind me)
And of course we had to eat on the train…
Finally, we arrived safe and sound in Targu Mures…more pics and blogs to come!
